The Reds Over Rye Festival offers traders a unique opportunity to showcase their products in the heart of historic Rye in Kent. Rye is very much on the tourist trail, each year it attracts many thousands of visitors who come to walk the narrow medieval lanes browse through the many antique stores and enjoy lunch in the one of the coffee houses or restaurants. The inaugural festival which will be held on the 11th June 2011 has been selected as the first South East England display venue for the 2011 Royal Air Force Aerobatic Display Team, The Red Arrows.
Although thousands will travel to watch the team display the festival will offer a host of things for young and old throughout the day in the town centre and the display showground, a short walk from the High Street. The Military Show & Vintage Aircraft Weekend - Headcorn 13th & 14th August 2011
This family weekend event offers flying displays from the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight and flypasts from the prestigious Red Arrows. The show also offers pleasure flights, tank and helicopter rides, vintage military and classic aircraft, arena action and much more. Over 10,000 spectators are expected.
