Loseley Park House Story Continues

Loseley Park ArmsThe 500 year story of the More-Molyneux family and their home at Loseley Park House continues.

Michael Traboulsi - Narrator

Michael Traboulsi PortraitAs the Heart 106.2 and Heart Network newsreader, millions of listeners tune into Michael Traboulsi's bulletins every week. Michael has been with Global Radio for more than seven years and has gained extensive experience in live broadcasting.

Michael would say that life truly began when he arrived in Uganda at the age of 18 for his gap-year. Living and teaching in a remote part of a developing country, forced him to grow up quickly and it was here that his passion for radio was given a chance to flourish. Every Saturday, Michael would take over the controls of Kampala's 'Power FM' presenting what can only be described as the most lively six hour 'graveyard' shift Ugandans had ever heard! Michael retains strong connections with Project Trust; the organisation with which he travelled to Africa over ten years ago and in 2009 he was made a member of the Advisory Council to the Project Trust Board of Trustees. He hopes to inspire other young people to experience a year in the developing world.

Returning to the UK in the summer of 2000 Michael revealed to his family that University would be replaced with a voluntary job at a radio station in Inverness - 'Moray Firth Radio - The North's Number 1' (It was the North's only one!). 'Signing-on' in order to qualify for the position meant he had to make ends meet by living in a backpackers hostel in the High Street - a welcome home after his time abroad.

After two years London was calling and Michael accepted a role as 'tea maker' in the newsroom at Heart and LBC radio. Within months he was back on-air covering an early bulletin shift and has since successfully worked his way onto London's number one radio breakfast show.

His interest in aviation (he is NOT a plane-spotter!) has seen him presenting to 120,000 people at Biggin Hill, one of the country's biggest air shows; a project that has resulted in marathon broadcasts from the show for the past five years. His love of comedy and theatre saw him make his debut at the Edinburgh Festival in 2006 - on air rather than on stage. He produced and presented LBC's first live programmes from the festival.

Michael's unique sound and personality has led to work in the voice over industry. He has built a studio at his home in West London and has established a strong client base in the UK and overseas. His voice can be heard on projects involving The Times, John Lewis, Harrods and The Science Museum to name a few.

Today his alarm goes off at 3.45am, he jumps on his bright orange Vespa and heads into Leicester Square to oversee the morning news bulletins for Heart and the other stations within Global Radio's portfolio, including Capital FM, LBC and Classic.
